Pick the benefit you need
Pets can provide different development, capacity and combat benefits. Read the pet’s level and skill tables before spending Food or rare advancement materials. A prerequisite pet may only need a particular level to unlock the next pet; that is a different goal from maximising its combat stats.
Keep the upgrade materials separate
- Food increases levels, while advancement and refinement have their own costs and restrictions.
- Common and Advanced Taming Marks are not interchangeable. Check the refinement panel before buying the wrong type.
- Review each rolled stat before pressing Replace. The confirmation warning is based on Total Power and may not warn about a loss to the stat you value most.
- Schedule activatable skills against the action they affect and check their cooldowns, rather than assuming all pet effects run continuously.
Refine for your role
A larger total power number can hide a less useful mixture of bonuses. Compare the troop types and activities you actually use, keep an acceptable result when further rolls would consume your upgrade budget, and avoid promising a fixed number of random attempts.
