Rallies and garrisons

Understand leader stats, contributing skills and why troop capacity is not the whole march.

Decide who should lead

A rally combines soldiers but does not simply average every participant’s account. The official Combat FAQ describes the initiator’s nine hero skills plus four contributing primary hero skills. For garrisons, it identifies the highest-stat defender as the source of defence bonuses, with four additional primary skills from other members.

Prepare a useful contribution

  • Follow the requested first-hero skill and troop ratio. An unsuitable contributing skill can matter even when you send many soldiers.
  • Compare the leader’s relevant gear, research, heroes and buffs, not only displayed total power.
  • Fill the rally before its march timer, and leave a queue free if you are assigned to reinforce repeatedly.
  • After a hero swap, check the formation and capacity again. A saved march can preserve a hero arrangement that no longer suits your role.

Check the actual report

Use the report to confirm the activated skills, troop numbers and result. Do not assume every first-slot skill applies, or that a claim about one boss also describes PvP. The Bear Hunt guide discusses its specific joiner choices; the hero tools compare the skills and levels you own.
