A week of growth, two weeks before KvK
The strategy on this page is community opinion from player guides; the points values are game data from our event planner. Strongest Governor replaces Hall of Governors once a kingdom has had its first Kingdom of Power, and runs once a month for seven days. Each day scores a different set of upgrades, and players compete in their own kingdom and against several other kingdoms. Many items that score here also score in KvK preparation two weeks later, so the real decision is how much to spend now and how much to carry forward. Guides agree on one rule: set a points budget before day 1, decide which days you will push and which you will only take milestones on, and keep the rest for KvK. The stage list and scoring tables are on the Strongest Governor data page.
Pick the ranking you are playing for
| Route | Who gets it | Who should aim for it |
|---|---|---|
| Daily milestones and Challenge Medals | Anyone reaching each threshold; up to 2 medals a day | Everyone. The safest value, so plan around these first |
| Stage ranking | Top 1,000 in your kingdom each day | Players close to a better bracket on a day their stock suits |
| Kingdom ranking | Top 1,000 in your kingdom over 7 days | Consistent players. Skipped days are hard to make up |
| Cross-kingdom ranking | Top 2,000 across all kingdoms in the event | Spenders. Late pushes are expensive, so know the next tier and its cost |
| Kingdom rewards | Everyone with 250,000 points, by your kingdom's rank | Everyone. Reach 250,000 points even on a quiet week |
Day by day
- Day 1, City Construction: finish long building and research timers and spend Truegold. Do not use all your speedups; later days score them too.
- Day 2, Hero Development: Hero Roulette, hero shards, Mithril, Widgets and Forgehammers. Wait for this day rather than ascending heroes early.
- Day 3, Basic Skills Up: Advanced Taming Marks are the strongest pet item. Check what KvK day 3 and day 5 will need before using them all.
- Days 4 and 6, Combat Training: troops score by tier. Train troops you actually need; a lopsided army hurts for longer than one stage rank helps.
- Day 5: a checkpoint. If the next chest costs too much, stop and keep your materials for KvK.
- Day 7, Hero Development and Gathering: finish with a target in mind. Keep gatherers out before the reset, and save leftovers if you are far from a tier.
Troops or speedups
- Combat Training days score 39 points for a T10 and 49 for a T11 in our data, well below the KvK values (60 and 75).
- At base training speed, the best route is promoting T9 to T10 at about 25.7 points per training speedup minute, or promoting T8 to T11 at about 23.3 for T11. A training speedup minute on a speedup day earns 30.
- So at base speed, a training speedup scores more as a plain speedup than on a troop day. A training speed bonus closes the gap; check your own numbers in the troop training planner.
- In KvK, day 4 promotions earn about 42.9 points per minute against 30 for a plain speedup, so a stock of lower-tier troops to promote goes further there than here.
- Compare routes for your training speed
Plans by spending level
Free players
Take realistic milestones and the daily medals, pass 250,000 points for kingdom rewards, and spend nothing premium outside its scoring day.
Milestones and 250,000 pointsLow spenders
Pick two or three days where your saved stock can move your rank, and take only milestones on the rest.
Two or three daysMid spenders
Save for the Hero Development, Basic Skills Up and gear days before spending speedups, and keep enough for KvK.
Items before speedupsBig spenders
Late rank pushes depend on saved Mithril, Widgets, gear and hero materials, so plan all seven days before day 1.
Plan the whole weekWhere guides disagree
- Day 5 name: kingshotmastery.com calls it Power Boost; kingshotguide.org, kingshotguide.com and our data call it Basic Skills Up. The items scored are similar.
- The 36-point item on days 6 and 7: kingshotmastery.com lists it as Governor Gear; kingshotguide.org lists it as Governor Charm. In KvK prep, Governor Gear scores 36 and Charms 70, which suggests Governor Gear.
- Kingdom rewards: kingshotwiki.com says they depend on your kingdom's rank; kingshotguide.org says your kingdom must finish in the top 6. Both say you need 250,000 points.
- How many kingdoms compete: kingshotguide.org says six; kingshotwiki.com says only several.
- Timing: kingshotwiki.com puts it right after Alliance Brawl; kingshotguide.org says the first week of each month. Our event calendar places it in week 2 of the 28-day loop.
