How it works
An Epic Generic Hero Shard can replace one hero-specific shard when ascending an eligible Epic hero already owned by the player. It cannot unlock an unowned hero or be used for Rare or Mythic heroes. The game calls it a Epic General Hero Shard: use it to get a Epic Hero Shard for a hero you already own.
