How it works
A Rare Generic Hero Shard can replace one hero-specific shard when ascending an eligible Rare hero already owned by the player. It cannot unlock an unowned hero or be used for Epic or Mythic heroes. The game calls it a Rare General Hero Shard: use it to get a Rare Hero Shard for a hero you already own.
