Plan territory as a connected network
An isolated banner does not provide the same useful territory as one connected to the headquarters. The official FAQ says banners become invalid when disconnected or destroyed. Before expanding, identify the resource mines and routes the alliance actually needs and check the cost of the next banner.
Build for a purpose
- The official rule requires at least 75% of an alliance resource mine to lie within territory for it to produce alliance resources. Check coverage, not just whether a banner is nearby.
- Plains and Fertile Land expansion have their own alliance research requirements. Territory placement cannot bypass those unlocks.
- Direct donations towards the technology officers are currently developing; a scattered donation plan delays completed benefits.
- Check both troop and player capacity before sending another headquarters garrison. Space in one limit does not override the other.
Coordinate the upkeep
Use notices and markers to explain the next expansion and defence goal. Review vulnerable connections after a banner is attacked, and keep the resource cost of rebuilding in the plan. A larger territory outline is only useful if the alliance can support and defend it.
