Hall of Governors

How to approach Hall of Governors in a young kingdom: when to chase Amadeus or Hilde, when to settle for milestones, and how to time each stage.

Decide early: rank or milestones

The strategy on this page is community opinion from player guides; the points values are game data from our event planner. Hall of Governors is a solo points event with a new stage each day. Milestones pay resources, Hero XP, speedups, Gems and skill books to anyone who reaches them. The season hero only goes to the top of the leaderboard: Amadeus to the top 10 in runs 1 to 3, and Hilde shards to the top 100 in runs 4 and 5. Finishing every task does not unlock either. Guides agree that free players will rarely reach the top 10 for Amadeus, since spenders compete hard for those places, and that draining your account to try hurts your growth. Their advice is to clear the milestones, stop, and save a larger push for the Hilde runs, where the cut-off is lower. Stages and scoring for each run are on the Hall of Governors data page.

Timing each stage

  • Start long building, research and training queues the day before their stage, then finish or collect them after the reset. Work done before the stage opens scores nothing.
  • Save Hero Roulette spins and hero shards for the Hero Development stage. A spin is worth 400,000 points there in our data, among the largest single items in the event.
  • Hold Widgets and Forgehammers for the Power Boost stage that scores them from run 2. A Widget is worth 300,000 points.
  • Keep gatherers out on high-level tiles before the gathering stage resets. Gathering scores the same for everyone, so it is where free players compete on equal terms.
  • From run 2, a stage scores Governor Gear, and from run 4 a stage scores Governor Charms. Hold those materials if a later run will score them.
  • Use shards only on heroes you plan to keep. A wasted ascension costs more than the points it earns.

Troops score far more than speedups

  • The troop stage scores by tier: 90 points for a T1, up to 1,960 for a T10, and 2,440 for a T11 from kingdom day 225.
  • At base training speed, promoting T9 to T10 earns about 1,357 points per training speedup minute, and training new T10s about 774. The same minute scores 1,500 on the stage 7 speedup task.
  • So save training speedups for the troop stage, and keep a backlog of low-tier troops to promote. Guides say promotion is best for clearing a backlog; fresh training is better when you need more troops.
  • Compare routes for your own training speed in the troop training planner.

Free players and spenders

Free players

Aim for one or two stages, not all of them. Clear the milestones, then stop. Do not spend general speedups on a weak stage because the leaderboard is in view. If the next bracket moves too fast, carry the stock to the next run, Strongest Governor or KvK.

Milestones first

Spenders

Time pack purchases to the stage that scores them and check whether a pack actually reaches a better bracket before buying. Watch how fast the cut-off is moving: guides say ranking matters more than milestones if Amadeus is the goal.

Where guides disagree

  • Hilde: kingshotwiki.com, kingshotdata.com and kingshotmastery.com give the top 100 for her shards. kingshotguide.com says only that early runs often feature Amadeus and later runs can rotate to other heroes.
  • Run length: kingshotdata.com gives 5 stages for run 1, 6 for run 2 and 7 from run 3. kingshotwiki.com describes it only as multi-day. Our data page lists the 7-stage version.
  • Promotion: kingshotmastery.com and kingshotguide.com both recommend planning promotions; kingshotguide.com warns against training low-value troops for points. Our troop data supports promotion for this event.
  • What replaces it: kingshotguide.com says Strongest Governor takes over on older kingdoms but may use different rules; kingshotwiki.com does not say when Hall of Governors ends.
