Your march is fixed when you register
The strategy on this page is community opinion from player guides, not game data. Alliance Championship is a weekly tournament between alliances. Members at Town Center 10 or above register one march to one of three lanes. Registration takes a snapshot of that march and every buff on it, and from then on battles run automatically: nobody needs to be online. After matchmaking, your alliance meets five others of similar strength, one per round. Each round has three lane fights, and the alliance that wins two of the three lanes wins the round. So there are two things to get right: register a strong snapshot once, and let one officer decide which members go in which lane.
Register once, with everything switched on
- Activate pet combat skills, city buffs and any appointment buff before you register. The KingShot Wiki says pet buffs stay in the snapshot after they expire.
- Do not re-register later without the buffs: updating your team takes a new snapshot and drops the expired ones.
- Register your three strongest combat heroes with their best Expedition gear and the formation your alliance asks for.
- If Swordland Showdown is running, use the same buffs to register for both events.
- Within a lane, marches fight in order of combat score and the highest score fights last. A march stops after two wins in a round or when it is defeated.
- If you leave the alliance after matchmaking, your registered march keeps fighting for it. Leaving before matchmaking means re-registering.
Win two lanes, give up the third
Stack two lanes
Rank members by combat power and split the top 40 between two lanes, about 20 each. Everyone else goes in the third lane. Winning two lanes wins the round, so a narrow loss in the third costs nothing.
The 2-1 splitRound 1 is blind
You cannot see the enemy line-up before round 1, so the guides call it mostly luck. Alternate the top 40 between the two strong lanes so neither is lopsided.
Use the even splitRead the battle history
From round 2, officers see the enemy lanes and power from the previous round during the 11-hour preparation window. One counter: your weakest lane takes their strongest, your strongest takes their second strongest, and your second takes their weakest. Tap the enemy soldiers on the battle map to see their history.
Rounds 2 to 5Keep one shot-caller
Members hopping lanes on their own breaks the plan. Keep a ready-made ranked list so swaps in the preparation window are quick, and post results in one thread after each round.

Rewards and the Championship shop
- Every march earns a battle reward each round: research speedups and resources for one enemy march defeated, and more for two. Members in the sacrifice lane should still register.
- Final rewards depend on your group placement and tier, from Stone up to Diamond.
- Championship Badges buy from a shop whose stock grows with kingdom age and can differ between players. Guides say spend badges on progression bottlenecks such as Gilded Threads and Artisan's Vision rather than speedups or resources.
- Only buy hero shards in the shop for a hero you plan to build.
Where guides disagree
- Fight limit: the KingShot Wiki says a march fights at most twice per round. kingshotmastery.com says a march can defeat at most two enemies, and stops after two wins or one loss.
- Registering in one lane: kingshotguides.com and kingshotmastery.com both mention a theory that registering everyone in one lane gets easier opponents. Both call it unconfirmed.
- Counter-matching lanes: kingshotguides.com suggests it; both it and kingshotmastery.com warn that higher-tier alliances shuffle lanes every round, so it works mainly against alliances that do not.
- Ratios: all three sources start from 50/20/30. Only kingshotmastery.com varies it by lane, and it also mentions older 5/4/1-style stacks.
- Heroes: kingshotmastery.com lists Helga for the strong lanes. When a reader asked about Helga, the kingshotguides.com author suggested Howard or Zoe instead, and Eric as better than both.
- Artisan's Vision in the shop: the KingShot Wiki says from Generation 4, kingshotmastery.com says from kingdom day 176. Our kingdom timeline puts the Artisan's Vision feature at about day 170.
